This is one of my favorite pictures of me from my childhood. Because I just look like me.
I am 9 or 10, making a bold fashion statement of sorts (overalls and plaid).
Every Saturday my dad used to take us to the park (technically not a park, because parks are rare in Mexico; rather it was a private park at the condo where my cousin lived).
Then we’d go for ice cream at Baskin-31-Robbins
and rent a VHS at Videocentro
My favorite flavors were Rainbow Sorbet (hmm…) and chocolate, of course.
While back then I found it annoying, I now appreciate my dad’s penchant for those “random camera” days.

The watch, do you remember what kind of watch you were wearing?
I was actually trying to get a picture of it but couldn’t find it! It was a digital green-and-red indiglo Timex, apparently it’s now sold as “vintage” on ebay.
